BEST TWO UP ATV
There is just something about taking your significant other or your kid for a ride eh? Rolling down the trails, looking at the scenery and making you both dirty when you spot that mudhole. Twice the fun.
In recent years, we have been witness to a new type of ATVer: The ATV traveller or tourist. The type that will go hundred of kilometres over a weekend, stay at ATV-friendly hotels, outfitters and dine out in whatever town they happen to end up in.
Two up ATVs are getting very sophisticated and comfortable for long days of riding. More stable and safer than a single seater with an added seat there are now hundreds of thousands of these on Canadian trails. Four of the largest ATV manufacturers offer these touring rigs in many configurations.
HERE IS OUR 2019 PICK FOR THE BEST TWO-SEATER ATV:
CAN-AM OUTLANDER MAX 850 XT
The ATV that made two up ATVs so popular in our country. The G2 body style that was introduced in 2012 is still relevant today with the constant little tweaks BRP has made to it over the years. Now offered with a better front suspension and dynamic three modes electronic throttle settings, it’s even better.
The XT package is our favourite with the included front and rear bumpers, a Warn winch and 14-inch aluminum wheels with Terracross radial tires. It’s the best bang for the buck high performance machine BRP ever built. It will stretch out your arms and make your passenger reach for the excellent grab bars when you slam your thumb in the throttle and get the 78 horses to a gallop, but, it’s also the most comfortable ATV at a sedate pace.
Performance, comfort and a bunch of included accessories make the Outlander Max 850 XT best in class.
Hey BRP, can you do even better with the next-gen G3 chassis?
