‘Tis the time to be… Well, humm. The 2020 holiday season is pretty much a dud like the larger part of this year for millions of Canadians. In brief, it sucked!

2020 has been quite a year of ups and mostly downs for us at the ATVGuys headquarters. Our views are up, and everything should be peachy right? Well, we are extremely grateful that more and more of you come spend some time with us that is for sure but… Covid came in and nearly wiped us off the face of the earth as a company. Everything seemed to be going down the drain and to tell you quite frankly, I almost threw in the towel.

ATVGuys and Quadiste.net (the French-speaking twin of ATVGUYS) is my full-time job. Without good sponsors (I will not ever suggest you buy something if I would not buy it and use it myself. We clear on that?) we would have shut down.

Jason and I sat down, had a long discussion and we decided to continue whatever happened. Our main sponsor from day one Revco.ca must be mentioned here as without Phil (Revco’s owner) that stepped in when we were trying to figure out how to pay the bills and helped, it would have been bye bye. Thanks Phil!

Covid has changed our daily lives and how we spend our leisure time. The effect of the US border closing and international travel ban on the ATV industry was unexpected, to say the least. Sales are at record highs; dealer floors are empty, and manufacturers are trying to catch up as sales are lost every day the dealers’ showrooms are empty. I have 7 ATV dealers close to my home and none of them have more than 3 or 4 machines available for sale at a time.

The used market is also on fire with pricing going wayyyy up. A very rough machine that fetched let’s say, 5000$ before the pandemic sell within a few days at 6500 if not 7000$ in my area. Canadians are going ATV/UTV crazy! Definitely NOT a buyer’s market.

This year was not very fruitful with new vehicle launches either. With the travel ban, group gathering limited in number of attendees, the manufacturers did not organize the big events we are used to see. Many of them simply did not launch new models or all they had available BUT there have been a few surprises!

Again, I would like to thank you for surfing to our website, liking and subscribing to our YouTube channel, liking our Facebook, Instagram pages and joining our Facebook group: The Canadian ATV/UTV Nation. This is what helps us pay the bills.

Let’s see what made our best of 2020 list this year!

Thanks,
