YAMAHA KODIAK 700
The Kodiak 700 is the Grizzly 700’s beefier sibling that you can buy from under 10K$. Its the one you can depend on day in day out for working on the farm, haul stuff around and at the end of the day be lively enough to go out and ride the wheels off it.
The 686 cc Yamaha power plant is dead reliable. Its powerful enough to do some fun stuff and tow over 1300 lbs when it needs to. Yamaha suspension tuning is great even if the wheel travel is shorter than the “sportier” Grizzly. Turn radius is also much shorter revealing its more work oriented nature. A three-point turn in tight spaces is easy as pie. The Yamaha Ultramatic CVT transmission is bar none, the best belt driven system in the industry with a 10-year warranty on the belt. Yamaha just throws down the gauntlet in this department with near perfect calibration.
For the life of me, I do not understand why there aren’t more of them out there. The Kodiak 700 is like a Swiss Army knife, it does everything well and it is priced right for what you’re getting.
