REVIEW: 2020 Can-Am Defender 6X6

REVIEW: 2020 Can-Am Defender 6X6

First time I saw it in pictures in a press release I went: “Now that’s gonna be a flop!” Remembering the now discontinued Ranger 800 6X6 and how much I despised it for having to repair that thing on a monthly basis, I wasn’t really getting it. My friend Steve owned that infamous 6X6 and that image stuck in my brain.  That’s just me and my biased memories of a 6X6 UTV

Don’t get me wrong here, I love the Defender platform.  It’s BRP’s turnaround toward a new generation of UTVs. The model that defined what we are riding today.  I had one for a year and I loved every minute it.

What pushed BRP’s desing team toward the 6X6 platform? Well, maybe just because they could do it and maybe because some people actually asked for a large boxed utility UTV.  The Defender Pro platform was created and only the imagination of some more intelligent people than I am was missong.  1+1=6, get it?

Well, they didi it and they build it.  Now let’s see if it has any merit to be in the Can-Am lineup.  Check out Marc’s review.
